Teaching Practice
Kimberly actively teaches classes and workshops in NYC and around the world.

TECHNIQUE CLASSES
As a former member of the Merce Cunningham company, I work closely with the Cunningham Trust (MCT) to offer both virtual and in-person technique classes. Most recently, I was a teaching artist at Bates Dance Festival (2022), as well as have forged a strong partnership with the dance department at Dewitt Clinton High School in Bronx, NY.
On occasion, I work with MCT to facilitate workshops to re-stage Cunningham works with professional artists. More information on workshops with the Trust can be found here.
WORKSHOP FOR
UNDERGRADUATE SENIORS
Currently, I am the advisor for the BFA seniors in the Ailey-Fordham Program. I offer a senior workshop that helps students identify and articulate a fuller sense of themselves as people and artists so they can articulate what success looks like for them in its many phases. This immersive workshop can be anywhere from 1-4 hours and includes a mix of practical thinking while encouraging soon-to-be graduates to stay connected to dreams and hopes for their futures.
ORIGINAL
COMMISSIONED WORKS
I love working with young dance professionals and have most recently been commissioned by the American Dance Festival (ADF) as a Footprints artist, and by SUNY Purchase to create original works for students:
Eclipse (2023) at SUNY Purchase
This place (2022) at ADF
